About

All Things Complicated is a website published by me, Leonard Pahlke 👋. I like writing, so that's the reason this website exists. Thinking of the complexity in tech is what I do. I have another website, my homepage, which is more slim and focused on my bio. I wrote some articles and newsletters before; besides the articles that are on this website - they are found on my homepage under archive. I am also taking pictures, with some uploaded.
I drew inspiration from the website title from Werner Vogels blog that's called allthingsdistributed.com - but that's just about it. I used to work with AWS in 2020-2021, remembered the blog. I like the title and was too lazy to figure something out original.
I am using Ghost to host this website. Like with my computers, I tend to regularly just wipe my website and "waste" hours or days exploring new frameworks or themes. You could argue that's not a waste of time, but if you are honest, it's just procrastination at some point—it's better to just sit outside, find a tree to take a picture, read, or whatever. So using Ghost (or whatever) it's a measure to restrict me a bit. I hope this works out… Lol. Ghost has a bunch of features around membership management and newsletters - I don't think I will use these features. The reason for this website is not to grow an audience.

This is a poem I like.
